Climate
Indunorm GmbH is committed to avoiding emissions of direct and indirect greenhouse gases that are harmful to the climate, including along the supply chain This is how we want to make our contribution to protecting the climate
We focus on energy from renewable sources, efficient energy utilisation and potential savings.
Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in Scope 1 and 2
On the road to reduction, we must first make emissions measurable. Greenhouse gas emissions along the value and supply chain are analysed in order to create transparency about the various emissions and their origin.
We have already defined starting points for reducing our direct greenhouse gas emissions generated at Indunorm (Scope 1) and indirect greenhouse gas emissions from energy generated and purchased outside the company (Scope 2). The current focus is on avoiding and reducing Scope 1 and 2.
At the same time, we are building data transparency for Scope 3 by establishing internal processes in order to evaluate the effects of current measures in Scope 3 and present them in a measurably transparent manner.
Since 2023, we have relied on the purchase of green electricity, which promotes the expansion of renewable energies on the energy market. We also have a photovoltaic system at our company headquarters for our own use and feed-in.
