| To couple water hoses quickly and inexpensively, water hose couplings (also known as "GEKA couplings") made of stainless steel or brass are used. The symmetrical and non-locking couplings with a claw spacing of 40 mm are coupled together by twisting the claws. Due to the non-existent locking mechanism, it is essential to ensure that the hose line is depressurised before uncoupling. |

Compressed air claw couplings

| Compressed air couplings (also called compressor couplings) according to DIN 3489 are used to couple compressed air hoses quickly and inexpensively. The symmetrical and non-locking couplings with a claw spacing of 42 mm are coupled together by twisting the claws. For safety reasons, a hose clamp must always be used. Due to the non-existent locking mechanism, it is essential to ensure that the hose line is depressurised before uncoupling. Attention: There is a risk of confusion between water hose couplings with 40 mm claw spacing and compressor couplings with 42 mm claw spacing! | |

| The air couplings (also called workshop couplings) have a nominal width of 7.2 mm. The air/workshop couplings are compatible with many other manufacturers in the series. They are available in brass. They are coupled by simply inserting the coupling plug into the socket. By pulling on the coupling sleeve, the plug is uncoupled again. The coupling socket closes automatically. | |
