Material cycles
A sustainable economy has to deal with scarce resources and a lack of security of supply. If the linear economy continues in the future, the raw materials situation will continue to deteriorate. We have recognised the need for a system change to a circular economy in order to secure future growth and are pushing for a decoupling from the finite consumption of resources through the integration of material cycles.
We are therefore increasingly focusing on the circular economy in order to minimise the use of resources or improve recycling. Closed material cycles offer opportunities for the environment, the economy and people.
Waste produced
At our headquarters, we collect and sort waste in order to recycle it. We make sure that our colleagues receive regular training on how to separate waste by type. Overall, we want to reduce our waste volumes.
We collect the wooden reels on which our hoses are delivered at our warehouse in Neukirchen-Vluyn or at the hose production facility in Kamp-Lintfort and return them to the manufacturer for reuse several times a year.
At the end of the service life of our products, we check whether we can make it possible to recover products, components and materials from waste by processing them for reuse and recycling. We are looking for concepts or realisations based on the cradle-to-cradle principle.
